Craig is the owner and personal trainer of Flex Fitness Club. Craig recently moved here from Sioux Falls, S.D. to further his career in the fitness industry. Craig was also a personal trainer in Spearfish during college and in Sioux Falls for a year. He has been interested in fitness ever since his early teens to help better himself in athletics as well as overall health.
Towards the end of Craig’s college career he took part in an internship at Sanford Wellness Center and Sanford Hospital. During his internship, Craig worked in Cardiac Rehabilitation as well as the wellness center. He was fortunate enough to oversee an open heart surgery over this time and also learned how to exercise recovering heart patients while being monitored on an EKG machine. Craig also was involved in personal training at the wellness center for much of his internship.
Craig spent his first two years of college in Madison, S.D. at Dakota State University before moving to Spearfish to finish his last two years of college. Craig graduated college with a four year Bachelors Degree in Wellness Management. He also worked in a fitness club while in his final year of college where he learned many of the business aspects of running a successful club.
After graduation Craig started his personal training career at a local gym in Spearfish where he received much experience. He then moved to Sioux Falls and worked at 24/7 Fitness Club for a year with a great reputation for personal training. Craig gets the most satisfaction from seeing how pleased clients become after seeing the results they sought after from a specifically designed program, and that is why he loves personal training. From the experience Craig received in Spearfish and Sioux Falls, he was fortunate enough to be able to work with a wide variety of clients. Craig has worked with young children, high school and college athletes, a quadriplegic patient, men and women in their 70’s and everyone in between. Craig was also the head of a successful kid’s camp that was designed to help agility, coordination, and to teach the basic techniques of strength training.
Craig moved to bring his experience as a successful personal trainer to Sturgis and further his career. Craig looks forward to helping each of you meet your fitness goals!
